April 2025’s theme was Art of Ephemera.

Ephemera is ususally defined as something that is ‘transitory’, ‘fleeting’ or ‘short-lived’. When selecting this theme I wanted to ensure the sweet read novel reflected this concept.

The sweet read novel for April 2025 is ‘Lost Souls Meet Under a Full Moon’ by Mizuki Tsujimura. In this novel, five troubled characters seek the chance of a reunion with a person - now dead - who once changed their lives.

I thought this novel perfectly captured what ephemera means to me - a chance reunion with someone who has passed, an opportunity to embrace that fleeting moment of who they were before they passed.
