C O V I D - 1 9 I M P A C T S A N D U P D A T E S:

January 2021

I have recently sent a couple of ‘test parcels’ internationally, and they are still experiencing some delays. However, as NovelTea parcels are now tracked, I would be happy to begin international subscriptions on a case-by-case basis, so please send me an email if you’re interested. Please note that tracked international shipping starts at around AUD20 per month.

March 2020

After a conversation with my favourite local post office staff this week (20/03/20), I’ve made the difficult and disappointing decision to suspend new international orders for the time being.

By all accounts, there are currently extensive international shipping delays, as customs offices understandably work to ensure everything coming into their respective countries is virus-free. Because NovelTea parcel would likely now take over a month to reach most destinations, I feel that I can’t in good conscience continue to sell a product that may not reliably reach its intended recipient.

I will reopen international orders as soon as I possibly can, but at this stage I have no idea when that might be.

Australian orders and subscriptions are also experiencing shipping delays due to delays around the Australia Post network. I am currently shipping subscription parcels ASAP after the cut off date, however most parcels are not currently arriving within the first week of the month. I appreciate your patience!

S U B S C R I P T I O N P A R C E L S:

+ Domestic shipping.

Domestic orders are shipped through the Australia Post network. From December 2020, all new subscriptions will be tracked and priced at $8 AUD for monthly subscription parcels.

+ International shipping.

International shipping has resumed on a case-by-case basis, so please contact me if you're interested. There are still extensive delays, with parcels taking upward of 2 months to reach some destinations. All NovelTea parcels are now tracked, with shipping starting at around $16 AUD per month for New Zealand and $20 AUD for other destinations.

+ When will my parcel arrive?

Australian subscription parcels should arrive in the first week of the month, however this does depend on how busy the Australia Post network is, and any current COVID-related restrictions.

International parcels are currently taking up to 2 months to reach their final destination.

+ What countries do you ship to?

NovelTea Book Club parcels ship around the world on a case-by-case basis. However, I am currently unable to ship to the US due to custom restrictions.

+ Is the shipping tracked?

All NovelTea parcels are sent tracked through Australia Post.

+ What happens if I move or change addresses?

You can update your address details at any time on your account page. If you change your address feel free to contact me as well, just in case I miss the update! If you need to update the address of a gift subscription recipient, please contact me.

+ Domestic shipping.

Domestic orders are shipped via the Australia Post parcel service (tracked). If you have a specific request, please leave a note at checkout. Australian shipping for Classic Boxes is a flat rate of $15 AUD.

+ What countries do you ship to?

Classic Boxes are currently available to be shipped within Australia only.

+ Is the shipping tracked?

Yes, Classic Boxes are tracked. You should receive tracking notifications and links to your email address following the dispatch of your box.

 

G E N E R A L Q U E S T I O N S

+ What happens if I think my order has been lost?

Please check that your order hasn't simply been delayed by the postage system or by customs first, before assuming that your order has been lost. If you are convinced that your order has been lost then please contact me and I will see what I can do for you.

+ Possible causes for delay.

Some orders may be held up by customs processing in your country. If you are worried that your order has been lost please consider that it may still be held up in customs first.

+ Duties and taxes.

Some countries may require duties or import taxes to be paid on our orders. The buyer is responsible for covering these charges.
